MUSHROOM BURGERS

Gettin’ Piggy With It Salt Rub is a smoky blend to rub over pork, especially ribs, before cooking. However it can be used to elevate vegetarian dishes too! Use on BBQ corn, roast vegetables and toasted nuts….and Mushroom Burgers!


INGREDIENTS

2 tablespoons Olive oil

2 tablespoons Soy sauce

1 tablespoon Red wine vinegar

1 1/2 teaspoons Gettin’ Piggy With It

2 x large Portobello mushrooms

2 x Buns

Burger fillings

METHOD

1/. In a small bowl, stir together the olive oil, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar and spice blend.

2/. Remove the stems off the mushrooms, then place mushrooms in the marinade. Marinate for 30 minutes.

3/. Heat a barbeque or grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the mushrooms and cook for about 7 minutes on each side, or until the mushrooms are soft and have released most of the excess moisture.

4/. Build your burgers with preferred toppings and add your Portobello mushrooms.
